Code Mesa began production and performance in 1994 with Larry Heinemann (Blue Man Group, SpringHouse, OrdHall) as Musical Director, Producer and Musician; Jenifer Smith (Universal Music, Laughing Mountain Records) as Composer, Singer and Musician and Tracy Edling as Video Artist and Set Designer.  Jenifer's record deal in 1998 with Philip Glass's label, Point Music/Universal Music, helped move production forward.

CODE MESA is an ongoing, visually driven chronicle of solo compositions and collaborations.   Each CD is a set of material that revolve around music, performance and visuals created and produced by the CODE MESA group.  Naux (John Crawiin' Snake Mac, Richard Hell, Nona Hendrix, Noise NY, China Shop) and Jenifer collaborated together from the beginning and that work is still evolving and will continue to be released.   Naux's last CD, Automatic/Problematic was completed in 2009 with some of the visual work included here.  Pete Jeffrey (Orbit Studio), Dan Edinberg (The Step Kids, Zox) and Cameron Greenlee (The Skatalites, Trenton St. Collaborative) were instrumental in seeing this CD thru.

Collaborations continue on much of the current material; are with Naux, Larry Heinemann, Michael Allison This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
