CODE MESA

Code Mesa began production and performance in 1994 with Larry Heinemann (Blue Man Group/Springhouse/OrdHall) as Musical Director, Producer and Musician, Jenifer Smith (Universal Music) as Singer and Composer and Tracy Edling as Video artist and set designer.
Jenifer's record deal in 1998 with Phillip Glass's label, Point Music/Universal Music, helped move production forward.
CODE MESA is an ongoing, visually driven chronicle of solo compositions and collaborations "original and incredible" with "luxurious imagery" and "a sound that simply mesmorizes". Each CD is a set of material that revolves around a set of visuals shot by Tracy and the Code Mesa group and that will be posted to play in the near future.

Jenifer is currently working with Michael Allison / Darshan Ambient as well as continuing collaboration with Naux, Ruben Garcia and Richard Bone. Jenifer and Larry's work is ongoing. Music from the first CD is featured in the extrodinary outdoor event, Waterfire by Barnaby Evans.

THE TRIP

A three piece cd. The first track a rework of an 87' piece with Leslie Winston, the second a rework of a 97' piece with Naux and the last a 2008 composition performed and recorded by J. Smith.
